In Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, the municipalities of Copenhagen
and Frederiksberg in company with the county council of Copenhagen
have constructed a new beach and park area. At the coast
of Amager close to the airport and to the Øresund fixed
link the construction of an artificial island has created a new
beach plus a lagoon area for recreational activities.
Sund & Bælt
Partner Ltd. has assisted the Owner in the management of the project.
The new beach
area opened in August 2005.
